Students, faculty and staff enjoy Kogan Plaza as a popular outdoor space for student organization activities, university-sponsored events and a variety of student life gatherings. Situated beside Gelman Library and behind Lisner Auditorium, the benches flanking the tree-lined walkways are sought-after spots to catch up with a friend or relax al fresco between classes. Speaking of which, many students take advantage of the space to study or dine outside. During the warmer months, some professors turn Kogan Plaza into an outdoor classroom for their students. Many important campus landmarks are also found here, including America's Gate, Professors Gate, Trustees Gate, the Tempietto, Veterans Memorial Park and several works of art.
