U.S. Department of the Treasury

600 15th Street, NW

Before they can run the world, GW students are learning how the world runs. Our neighbors at the U.S. Department of Treasury have powerful lessons to teach about running our nation?s economy as the managing body for Federal finances, tax collection, currency and coinage creation, public debt management and tax law enforcement.

Treasury?s headquarters is located close to the White House and contains the units responsible for policy creation and management of the department. GW student Colleen Tan interned at Treasury in the Office of Performance Budget for almost three years, where she reconciled data on multi-million dollar Treasury portfolios.
