GW Law

Students of the GW Law School.

The George Washington University Law School has been at the forefront of American legal education since its establishment as the first law school in the nation's capital more than 150 years ago.

At GW Law, students receive rare insight into how the law is actually created and debated, with classes primarily taking place within the Law School Complex. Its professors are eminent scholars who have won historic human rights settlements and filed briefs?often with the help of students?on behalf of members of Congress. Students develop practical skills through pro bono legal clinics that have provided hundreds of thousands of hours of real-life legal assistance to the DC community for more than 40 years.
